About the Bride
Amanda is currently a student, (Although finishing school in April 2011!), studying Jazz Performance, with voice as her main instrument. Amanda also teaches piano and singing lessons, and, once graduated, plans on continuing her teaching. Amanda hopes to release her own album within the next few months, and her ultimate goal is to be on broadway. :)

Amanda met Tyler when they were 10, and they quickly became best friends. They eventually started dating several years later, and the rest is history!

About the Groom
Tyler is currently in Medical school, and enjoying every second of it! When Tyler (eventually) graduates, he hasn't decided on his speciality yet, but is interested in anaesthesiology, and otolaryngology.
Tyler likes animals, musicals, and olives.
Tyler is living in another city than Amanda right now, so the two are very excited for the wedding to come and the long-distance relationship to end!

The Proposal
On Valentine's 2010, Tyler and I spent the day together, before he brought me out to dinner at our favourite restaurant, and then took me outdoor ice skating. When the rink closed, we had planned on going to my house to exchange Valentines gifts, but we were going to stop by Tyler's house to pick up some things. But he drove right by his house, and said he had a surprise for me. We pulled up alongside the field of our elementary school (where we met when we were 10 and became best friends, where we hung out as teenagers at the playground, and where we were sitting when we decided to start dating almost 3 years ago. The school is also right between his and my house). Sitting in the field was a heart made of tea lights and roses, and Tyler brought me into the middle of the heart where a box was waiting. He proposed and I was completely surprised!! (Erm... In fact, I kept asking, "ARE YOU PROPOSING? WHAT'S HAPPENING? IS THIS A PROPOSAL??") We told Tyler's family, then my family, and then both of our families came over and had a wonderful night of celebrating : ) Everything was awesome!!
